Ingredients
2 large eggs
1/4 cup whole milk
2 tbsp unsalted butter
12 slices thick-cut white bread
8 slices Swiss or Provolone cheese
1/4 lb rotisserie chicken, shredded
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 lb deli smoked turkey
Powdered sugar for garnish
Raspberry jam for serving
Instructions
Whisk the eggs and milk in a shallow dish until uniform and airy.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Set out four slices of bread and place one slice of cheese on each.
Layer the rotisserie chicken evenly on top of the cheese.
Spread mayo on one side of four bread slices and place mayo-side down onto the chicken.
Spread mayo on the top side of those slices, then layer with turkey and a final slice of cheese.
Top with remaining bread slices to close the sandwiches.
Press down gently on each stack.
Dip each assembled sandwich into the egg mixture.
Fry in the skillet until golden brown on both sides and cheese is melted.
Notes
Use seedless raspberry jam for a smooth dipping experience. Ensure the sandwiches are pressed firmly so they do not fall apart in the skillet. If you prefer, you can use a griddle for more even browning.
