Description

These Teriyaki Ground Chicken Burgers are a savory and juicy alternative to traditional beef patties. Combining tender ground chicken with aromatic fresh ginger, garlic, and a sweet, tangy teriyaki glaze, they offer a restaurant-quality experience in your own kitchen. Perfect for a quick, family-friendly weeknight dinner, these burgers are easy to prepare and even better when topped with a juicy pineapple ring for a tropical flair.

Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken
1 large egg
3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely diced onion
1/4 cup finely diced bell pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
4 pineapple rings
4 burger buns

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, panko, onion, bell pepper, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper.
Mix until just combined, taking care not to overwork the meat.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties approximately 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.
Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes per side until fully cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Brush the patties with a generous amount of teriyaki sauce during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
Meanwhile, lightly toast the burger buns.
Serve each patty on a bun topped with a pineapple ring and additional teriyaki sauce as desired.

Notes

Ensure you do not overmix the meat to keep the patties tender. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches 165°F. You can add sliced red onion or lettuce for extra crunch.
