Description

A vibrant, umami-rich salmon and broccoli dish with a savory-sweet glaze. Perfectly flaky salmon pairs with tender-crisp broccoli, all roasted in one pan for quick, fuss-free weeknight meals.

Ingredients

4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
2 heads broccoli (cut into florets)
1/3 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon minced ginger
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon cooking oil (sesame, avocado, or olive)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
3 tablespoons vegetable oil (for roasting)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
Line a sheet pan with parchment paper
Place salmon and broccoli on the pan (salmon atop broccoli)
Whisk soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, ginger, garlic, and 1 tsp sesame seeds
Brush glaze over salmon and drizzle remaining glaze around broccoli
Drizzle both sides of salmon and broccoli with vegetable oil
Bake 15-20 minutes until seafood is cooked through and broccoli is tender-crisp
Garnish with additional sesame seeds before serving

Notes

Use a baking sheet large enough to prevent overcrowding
For extra crispness, broil 2-3 minutes at end
Soy sauce can be reduced if using high-sodium variety
Pair with steamed rice or noodles for heartier meal
