Description

A decadent layer cake combining moist chocolate cake, peanut butter frosting, and glossy chocolate ganache. Easy to make with a boxed cake mix, perfect for celebrations or any chocolate-lover’s treat!

Ingredients

1 box (15.25 oz) moist chocolate cake mix
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk (full-fat)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 3/4 cups unsalted butter, softened
2 cups creamy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
1 1/4 cups heavy cream

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
In a bowl, mix cake mix according to package instructions, incorporating eggs, milk, and melted butter.
Divide batter into prepared pans and bake 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
For peanut butter frosting, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually mix in powdered sugar, then add peanut butter and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
Stack cooled cake layers with frosting between. Frost the top and sides of the cake.
In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until steaming. Pour over chopped chocolate and let sit 2 minutes. Whisk until smooth, then chill ganache 10-15 minutes until thickened.
Drizzle chilled ganache over the frosted cake and let harden slightly before serving.

Notes

Use halal-certified chocolate if needed. Ensure ganache is softened, not melted, before drizzling. Let cake sit 10 minutes after assembly to prevent ganache from sinking.
