Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (90/10 lean)
1 can (14.1 oz) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Roll out crescent dough into 12-14″ x 6-7″ rectangle
Sauté ground beef until browned, drain excess grease
Mix cooked beef with seasonings (onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper)
Spread beef mixture evenly over dough, leaving 1″ border
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese across dough
Roll dough tightly into log from shorter side
Cut into 1-inch slices
Place slices cut-side down on parchment-lined baking sheet
Bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown
Notes
For lower fat: drain beef grease thoroughly
Substitute ground turkey for beef
Use halal-certified ingredients for meat products
Add finely chopped bell peppers or mushrooms to filling
