Description

Marry Me Chicken Tortellini is a creamy, decadent pasta dish featuring tender golden chicken and cheese-filled tortellini in a rich sun-dried tomato sauce. This comforting, restaurant-quality meal is perfect for busy weeknights, coming together in under thirty minutes while providing a sophisticated flavor profile that satisfies the whole family.

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts, cubed
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
19 oz frozen cheese tortellini

Instructions

Whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a shallow bowl.
Dredge the chicken breast cubes into the flour mixture until each piece is fully coated.
Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until sizzling.
Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through; remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth and stir to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
Add the heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper flakes, oregano, and thyme, bringing to a gentle simmer.
Stir in the parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and slightly thickened.
Add the frozen tortellini to the skillet and cook according to package directions in the sauce until tender.
Return the chicken to the skillet, toss to combine, and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure the chicken is cut into uniform cubes for even cooking. Adjust the red pepper flakes based on your family’s heat tolerance. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
