Ingredients
4 (6-ounce) fillets Salmon fillets (Skin-on or skinless, fresh or thawed frozen)
1/3 cup Pure maple syrup (Grade A Dark or Amber recommended for best flavor)
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (Or stone-ground mustard for a coarser texture)
1 tablespoon Soy sauce (Or tamari for a gluten-free option)
1 teaspoon Garlic powder (Or 2 cloves minced fresh garlic)
1/4 teaspoon Salt (Or to taste)
1/8 teaspoon Black pepper (Freshly ground preferred)
1/2 cup Toasted, chopped pecans
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper
In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Divide salmon into 4 fillets and place skin side down in the prepared dish
Brush half of the glaze over the salmon and bake for 15 minutes
Add chopped pecans and pour the remaining glaze over them
Return to oven and bake for 5 more minutes, then broil for 2 minutes to caramelize the glaze
Let rest 5 minutes before serving
Notes
Use tamari instead of soy sauce for gluten-free
Skip pecans if desired or substitute with walnuts for a nut-free version
Check doneness with a fork or thermometer (145°F internal temp for salmon)
Glaze can be prepared ahead and reheated
