Ingredients
2 lbs Ground Beef
1/3 cup Onions, finely diced
1 Large Egg
1/2 cup Bread crumbs
3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Parsley
8 oz Mushrooms, sliced
4 cups Beef broth
Salt and Pepper to taste
Crushed red pepper to taste
Instructions
Combine ground beef, onions, egg, bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, parsley, pepper, and crushed red peppers in a large bowl.
Mix gently until just combined.
Divide into six equal portions and shape into half-inch thick oval patties.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear patties for 4-5 minutes per side until browned.
Remove patties from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, sauté mushrooms and additional onions if desired.
Pour in beef broth and remaining 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce to deglaze the pan.
Return patties to the skillet and simmer in the gravy until the beef is cooked through and sauce has thickened.
Notes
Use 80/20 ground beef for the best moisture and flavor. Serve over mashed potatoes or buttered egg noodles for the ultimate comfort meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
