Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
In a large bowl, cream butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth
Beat in egg until fully incorporated
Stir in baking soda, salt, and flour until a stiff dough forms
Fold in semisweet chocolate chips
Divide dough into small portions, press chocolate into bottom of each
Place 6 inches apart on baking sheets
Bake 8-10 minutes until golden and slightly firm
Let cool on pans, then transfer to wire racks
Notes
Use a 1:1 ratio of peanut butter and butter for optimal texture
Chilling dough 15 minutes helps cookies hold shape
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days
