Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp non-alcoholic vanilla flavoring
1 large egg
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Line baking sheets with parchment paper
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl
In a separate bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar
Beat in egg and vanilla flavoring
Gradually mix in dry ingredients
Stir in chocolate chips
Roll dough into 18 portions
Flatten each into a heart shape on the baking sheets
Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden
Cool on wire racks
