Discover the secret to perfectly moist and savory ground chicken burgers that are light yet satisfying. By incorporating mayonnaise and fresh aromatics into the mix, these patties retain incredible moisture while developing a beautiful golden, seared crust. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a weekend backyard barbecue, these burgers are a healthy, crowd-pleasing alternative to traditional beef that the whole family will love.
Ingredients
1 pound ground chicken
1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons minced onions
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon avocado oil
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, minced onions, parsley, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper until well incorporated.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties about 3/4-inch thick.
Heat the avocado oil in a large non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Place the patties in the pan and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F and a golden-brown crust has formed.
Remove from the heat and let the patties rest for 2 minutes before serving on your favorite buns with toppings.
Notes
Ensure you do not overmix the meat to keep the burgers tender. For a meal prep option, shape the patties and store them in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before cooking. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked safely through.
