Description

Effortless, elegant bites featuring smoked salmon on a base of tangy cream cheese, topped with fresh dill and lemon. Perfect for quick entertaining with no cooking required.

Ingredients

8 ounces softened cream cheese
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 ½ teaspoons dried)
8 ounces smoked salmon, flaked or torn
2 tablespoons capers, drained (optional)
1 medium red onion, very thinly sliced (optional)
20-30 cucumber slices or small crackers (for serving)

Instructions

In a bowl, mix cream cheese with lemon juice until smooth.
Spread a small amount of the mixture onto each cucumber slice or cracker.
Top with a piece of flaked salmon.
Sprinkle with fresh dill.
Add a caper and/or red onion slice for extra flavor, if desired.
Arrange on a serving platter and serve.

Notes

Store bases like cucumber slices in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Assemble bites just before serving for crisp texture. Substitute mini toasts, blini, or lettuce cups as alternative bases. Can make the cream cheese mixture 1 day in advance.
