Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
0.25 tsp salt
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 large egg
0.33 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1.5 cups apples, diced
1 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
Peel and dice apples into small, uniform cubes and toss with a pinch of cinnamon.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a large bowl.
Whisk egg, milk, vanilla, and melted butter in a separate container.
Combine wet and dry ingredients then gently fold in the apples.
Preheat air fryer to 370°F and spray the basket with oil.
Drop spoonfuls of batter into the basket and flatten slightly with the back of a spoon.
Cook for 6-8 minutes, flip, and cook for another 4-6 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
You can use Honeycrisp or Granny Smith apples for the best texture. If you are gluten-sensitive, a gluten-free flour blend works perfectly as a substitute. Ensure the air fryer basket is not overcrowded to maintain the crispy exterior.
