Ingredients

1 lb boneless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
3 cloves garlic, freshly minced

1/4 cup apple juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp red pepper flakes
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp water

Instructions

Heat the sesame oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken pieces and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
Add the minced garlic and fresh ginger to the pan and sauté for 30 seconds until aromatic.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, apple juice, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the wok and bring to a simmer.
Mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry and stir it into the simmering sauce.
Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken beautifully.
