Ingredients
1 box strawberry cake mix (with pudding), Pillsbury recommended
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 box strawberry frosting mix (optional, as per package instructions)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper
In a large bowl, combine cake mix and baking powder
Add oil, eggs, and vanilla extract
Mix until smooth and well combined
Pour batter into prepared pan
Bake 20-22 minutes until edges are firm
Let cool 10 minutes before spreading frosting (if using)
Let fully cool before slicing into 16 squares
