Ingredients
500g OO Flour
300ml Warm Water
7g Instant Yeast
2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Sugar
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Semolina Flour for dusting
Instructions
Combine the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.
Dissolve yeast in warm water and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Slowly pour the yeast liquid into the flour mixture while stirring.
Add olive oil and mix until a shaggy ball forms.
Knead the dough by hand for 10 minutes until smooth.
Cover the dough and let rest for 60 minutes.
Divide dough into three pieces and shape into balls.
Coat with oil and rest for at least 2 hours.
Preheat oven to maximum temperature with a pizza stone for 30 minutes.
Stretch the dough on a semolina-dusted surface.
Add desired toppings and bake until golden and crispy.
Notes
Ensure your water is lukewarm, not hot, to avoid killing the yeast. Using a pizza stone provides the best results for a crispy crust. You can customize toppings with fresh mozzarella, basil, and vegetables, avoiding any pork or alcohol-based ingredients.
