Ingredients

24 pre-made round wonton wrappers
8 oz (1 block) cream cheese, softened
1 cup drained pineapple chunks (canned preferred)
1/4 cup chopped dried fruit (optional variation)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Vegetable oil spray or light brush of sesame oil

Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C)
In a bowl, mix cream cheese with 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
Mash drained pineapple chunks in a separate bowl until slightly chunky; stir in 1/2 teaspoon sugar (if desired)
Combine pineapple mixture with cream cheese for filling
Place 1 tsp filling in the center of each wonton wrapper
Fold wrapper diagonally to form a triangle; press edges firmly to seal
Spray both sides lightly with vegetable oil or brush with sesame oil
Arrange sealed wontons in a single layer in air fryer basket

Notes

Can substitute cream cheese with ricotta or vegan alternative for dietary needs
Freeze assembled unbaked wontons on a tray before frying for up to 1 month
Serve with mango chutney or honey glaze for extra sweetness
Test batch first if using frozen wontons – may need 1-2 minutes extra cooking time
