Description

Achieve the perfect balance of a crispy exterior and a soft, cloud-like center with these delightful air fryer donut bites. Using only a few pantry staples like Greek yogurt and self-rising flour, this quick recipe eliminates the need for messy deep frying. These bite-sized treats are incredibly easy to customize with your favorite toppings, making them a perfect cozy breakfast or a delicious, guilt-free late-night snack for the whole family to enjoy.

Ingredients

1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sweetened Greek yogurt
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp melted salted butter
1/4 cup melted semi-sweet chocolate

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and sweetened Greek yogurt until a shaggy dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for two minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them into one-inch thick logs on the countertop.
Cut the logs into bite-sized pieces and roll each between your palms to form small balls.
Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease the basket with cooking spray.
Place the donut balls in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
While still warm, brush with melted butter and toss in a cinnamon-sugar mixture, or drizzle with melted chocolate.

Notes

If you do not have self-rising flour, combine 1 cup all-purpose flour with 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder. Ensure your Greek yogurt is thick and strained for the best dough texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days and reheat in the air fryer for one minute to crisp them back up.
